Sample Details

When submitting your samples please ensure they meet the following requirements:

All purified nucleic acid samples should be resuspended in nuclease-free water or dilute Tris or TE buffer. (Most extraction kit buffers are OK.)
Samples should be sent in microcentrifuge tubes labeled with permanent marker or sealed 96-well PCR plates for larger submissions. (Please send PCR plates on dry ice to reduce the possibility of leaking or cross contamination.)
We ask customers to not use sticker labels, as they are prone to fall off.
When shipping with dry ice, include at least 5–10 lbs of dry ice per day of expected transit. Do NOT ship Thursday or Friday.
Concentration values below correspond to Qubit or other dye-based methods. If using a Nanodrop, at least double is required.

Extractions

Generally, 10⁹ cells are required either as aspirated cell pellets, well-grown lawns on agar, or homogenized tissue. For exact requirements, see the extraction section of the specific service page.
